SOUTHERN MARYLAND, LET’S COME TOGETHER FOR NICU FAMILIES!
September is both NICU Awareness Month and Literacy Awareness Month, and we are excited to partner with Fly Yaya and Carter G. Cares for our 3rd Annual NICU Book Drive!
This year, we’re collecting new children’s books AND books for moms to provide comfort, connection, and a little escape during one of the most difficult seasons a family can experience.
Why does this matter to Southern Maryland?
Many families in our community begin their journey at our local hospital and, when a higher level of neonatal care is needed, many of their tiny babies are transported to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
That can mean leaving home, family, siblings, and everything familiar behind.
